A Red Tartan Christmas Capybara Plush Dressed For The Fireside

Tartan is the whole point of this red tartan Christmas capybara plush. The pattern on its scarf is the one found on gift wrap, shortbread tins and winter blankets, a red ground crossed by fine lines in several colors. A white fringe hangs at the end. Honey brown and short furred, the seated capybara wears a scarlet Santa hat whose white pompom falls to one side. Dark brown paws peek out on either side of the scarf.

The Tartan Up Close, From Fringe To Brown Ears

Zoom in and the tartan breaks down into green, dark blue, yellow and white lines over the red, and the edge of the scarf folds flat under the chin. You can take the scarf off: the callout picture labels it as removable. One round ear shows beside the hat band, in the same dark brown as the muzzle. The eyes are polished black beads, and below them brown thread picks out the nostrils and a small mouth on short, velvety plush.

9 in On The Sideboard: Sizing And Gift Ideas

This capybara measures 9 in (22 cm) and is offered in that size only. In the photos it stands on a sideboard beside a nutcracker and a mug, a setting that shows how it blends with traditional red and green decorations. Try it on a console table or a windowsill, or place it on top of a wrapped present as an extra surprise for a collector. Heights are the published figures for this model and are given as a guide.
