A Teddy Bear Style Capybara Plush Built on Four Standing Legs

This is a capybara, not a bear, but it is put together the way a teddy bear is: a long shaggy pile, a rounded barrel body and stitched features rather than plastic ones. There is no hood and no removable costume on this one; the bear look is built into the fur and the face. It stands on four short legs instead of sitting up, with a long barrel back, a blunt square muzzle and two small dark brown ears set high on the crown.

Long Honey Pile and Matte Satin Stitch Eyes

The coat is a warm honey brown that turns slightly redder along the spine and pales toward the underside of the muzzle, and the pile is long enough that individual strands stand off the surface in the face close up. Each eye is a black oval worked in dense satin stitch, matte all the way through, which is the quickest way to tell it apart from the short haired walking capybara, whose eyes are open glossy beads. The ears are the only parts in chocolate fur; the other dark marks on the face are all thread, the two nostrils and the mouth line included.

The 12 in Height, and What It Looks Like Next to a Hand

Twelve inches, or 30 cm, is the only figure on this page. In the photo where it is held, the standing body rests across two open hands with the muzzle and the front legs reaching out past the fingertips, so it is a piece you carry in one arm rather than lean against. On the bathtub rim in the last photo it takes up the width of the ledge beside two oranges. Figures are the published ones for this model and are given as a guide.
