A Capybara Burger Plush Wearing Its Own Lunch

The capybara is not holding a burger, it is inside one. A ring of stacked plush layers sits around its middle: a wavy green lettuce leaf just under the chin, a brown patty, a bright yellow cheese slice with pointed corners and a red tomato ring at the bottom. The capybara itself keeps its eyes shut through all of it, front paws poking out between the layers, which is exactly the deadpan that makes the whole thing work.

Every Layer Is Sewn, and the Stack Comes Off

Each ingredient is a separate piece of fabric cut to shape and stitched, not printed on a flat panel, so the lettuce has real ruffled edges and the cheese has real corners that stand away from the body. The whole stack slides off over the head when you want the plain capybara back, which makes this two objects on a shelf rather than one.

8 in to Sit on a Desk, 12 in to Hold

The 8 in (20 cm) is the size that lives next to a keyboard or on a bookshelf and still reads clearly from a distance. The 12 in (30 cm) is the one you actually pick up, big enough for the burger layers to have real thickness. Both are plush polyester over synthetic fiberfill with an embroidered face. Heights are the published figures for this model and are indicative; the exact tone of each ingredient can shift a little between production runs.
